Mishaal is the undergraduate program coordinator and advisor for Middle East / South Asia Studies (ME/SA), and an undergraduate advisor for the Sociology department. She also supports events within MENASA Student Resources on behalf of the ME/SA program.

Prior to joining UC Davis in March 2019, Mishaal has seven years of experience in the functional area of university housing and residential education, including at UC Merced, New York University, University of San Diego, and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Mishaal's professional interests include student identity development, student health and wellness, and international education. She has been involved in various initiatives and committees related to these interests at previous institutions. Mishaal also has a strong personal connection to the Middle East and South Asia, specifically United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and India. Mishaal enjoys helping students navigate college and supporting student academic success within the ME/SA program and Sociology department.
