Raisa Nirjhar

Raisa Nirjhar serves as the Community Organizer for MENASA Student Resources office within Student Affairs. Raisa is deeply passionate about women’s education and empowerment, and she hopes to encourage conversations about how access to education shape the experiences of women in MENASA communities.

Raisa currently serves as President of the Bengali Student Association and has been on board since her second year. Her goal is to celebrate the beautiful culture and heritage of the Bengali people. She is also a volunteer for Shifa Community Clinic, where she supports a diverse population of uninsured and medically underserved patients. 

Through her role as Community Organizer, Raisa looks forward to developing meaningful, culturally relevant programs that bring students together and highlight the diversity within Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian communities. She particularly looks forward to facilitating conversations about women’s experiences, education, identity.
